During your free consultation, a counselor will thoroughly explain all options and any applicable fees during the counseling session.

Does GreenPath keep my information confidential?

Yes, GreenPath does not report to credit bureaus nor share information with anyone without your permission. If you start a debt management program through GreenPath, you provide consent before payment arrangements are proposed to creditors on your behalf.

How does financial counseling work with GreenPath?

Simply call GreenPath or request a call. Your first counseling session will likely take about an hour, depending on your situation. To make the most of your appointment, it’s helpful to know your household’s basic monthly income and expenses.

What is the difference between a financial counselor and a financial advisor?

Certified financial counselors like those at GreenPath concentrate primarily on helping people with financial wellness tasks like debt reduction, building credit, or creating a spending plan. Financial advisors focus primarily on helping you manage and build wealth.
